Riesling.
Pale straw with green tinges in the glass, this 2006 Riesling offers a citrus duo of zesty lemon and lime on the nose. Delicate floral aromas weave their way through these characters. On the palate, expect sweet lemon and lime flavours, balanced by firm acid structure and a long rounded finish.
Winemakers Comments
Banrock Station Riesling is cold fermented in stainless steel tanks, which serves to preserve the fresh fruit flavours. In 2006 Padthaway Riesling proved very aromatic with firm acid structure. The same year in the Riverland produced Riesling with ripe, floral fruit characters. Combined together in this blend, the components from the two regions produce a balanced and easy to drink Riesling style ready to be enjoyed now.
Food Pairing
The 2006 Banrock Station Riesling pairs well with smoked trout or seasoned chicken salad.
